Some pieces at Casa del Alabado. It was interesting to learn about art that aren’t covered much with that field of study since it mainly focused on Mexican/Guatemala’s cultures and with the Incas in South America. Ecuador’s history is incredibly diverse and more should be known to scholars and others who are interested in that field of study.
For a class project for my Pre-Columbian Art History class, I had to make something inspired by that field of study. I’m not much of a maker and I struggled with making it so I had my friend help me with it, which was to create gold corn earrings based on Ecuador’s pre-Columbian art I saw at the museum. My teacher loved it.
